Announcing a new "Brenda" design.
Brenda B14
Identical in design appearance to the Brenda B9 the B14 is only 13.6mm in diameter.
Smarts a Pure Copper ClawLock and is made from Pure Copper as are all the other Brenda's.The B14 is available either as a solder only RCA, or with a bare wire compression signal pin. The return is solder only.
It has a slimmer signal pin, but the same bay size for the signal wire as the B9 and B7, and has the option of having either twin bridge design of the B9 for the return, or as a single bridge for the shorter version.Its impedance is lower than the B7 or B9 because of the thinner insulation enabling the thinner profile to be designed. This is 19 ohms as opposed to 22.5 ohms for the B7 and B9.
The B14 incorporates the new TLB construction which gives identical pin egress on all B14's.
The design specification delivers a very tight manufacturing specification to enable the scaling down of the design of the B9 to these smaller dimensions.
Though the standard length listed at the website is 81mm it can be shortened to 78.5mm and to as long as 90mm depending on how much length is required for the cable to rest, or whether a single or double bridge is sought for the return.
The cable stay has 3 x M4 threads for grub screws to hold the interconnect cable in place.
Finish is Silver Electroplate or Gold on Silver Electroplate as required.
The benefits of this design is that now there is a Pure Copper RCA that is useable in standard socket spacings on more components than was previously possible with the B9 and B3.
The design is extremely sturdy and robust. The B14 offers the same sturdiness as the B9 and B3 and is tenacious in its grip on its receptive chassis socket.The large Pure Copper ClawLock offers the absolute best RF // EMR isolation.
Variant shown uses solderable signal pin and has a single solder bridge for the return. Length is74mm long by 13.6mm in diameter.
Other variants sport a twin solder bridge for the return and are from 79mm to 90mm depending on bridge structure sought.![]()
