MonofeetTM
MonofeetTM are metal feet
that have been designed to sit under both loudspeakers and audio appliances.
I designed them initially to accommodate the mass of my PandaTM
Model 10 loudspeakers. Consequently I now have them supporting the
stone slabs on which rest my audio appliances. They are fabricated from
316 stainless steel. They are 50mm in diameter and 38.1mm high. Their base
is radiused so they wont dig into your floor; and they can also be
supplied with a MonoShoe also fabricated from the same material.
Together these two components offer optimal appliance isolation.
The Monofoot on its own delivers excellent isolation, couple it to the
MonoShoe and the degree of stereo-imaging stabilisation increases considerably.
Another consequence is a cleaning up of all mechanical feedback loops resulting
in a clearer and cleaner reproduction of music.

Isolation
Platforms.
-
On my own system I have a series of granite isolating
platforms. These sit on MonoFeetTM. The
appliances sit on the granite slabs. Its a bit like this:
-
Table,
-
EPDM blocks of 100 x 100 millimeters,
-
( placed at the extreme corners
of the Granite Slab ).
-
.
-
Granite slab
-
( 32 millimeters thick ),
-
.
-
MonoFeetTM,
-
( only 3 MonofeetTM
are required placed in triangular configuration. One at the front in the
middle and one each at the extreme ends at the back ).
-
.
-
Another granite slab
-
( also 32mm thick ),
-
.
-
Audio Appliance ( CD or Turntable ).
-
.
-
All audio appliances come equipped with isolation
feet. Installing isolation devices directly onto the chassis of the audio
appliance defeats the purpose of having the isolation feet and actually
transfers sonic noise directly into the appliance.
-
By using a double isolation platform, the appliances
isolation feet ( where the manufacturer has engineered the appliances sonic
isolation platform ) the appliance works better and sounds better.
-
The best stone for isolation purposes is large
crystal Pegmatite.
-
This may be difficult to acquire and so other
granites are acceptable. Also acceptable is Slate and Marble.
-
A cheap alternative to rock and equally effective
is the common garden concrete paver slab. These are available from most
plant nurseries and hardware stores and are generally 600mm x 600mm by
25mm - 50mm thick. They can be painted and are more easily adaptable to
existing decor.
-
As well as being used to isolate audio appliances
the Kit can be placed as an interface between your speakers ( or speaker
stand ) and the floor on high density EPDM blocks. By isolating the speaker
from the floor with MonoFeetTM adds
further to stabilizing the stereo holographic field.

Contact your local stonemason for your granite
slabs. If you have any problems contact Bocchino Audio and I can forward
you the appropriate Bocchino Audio Isolation Platform Kit sized for your
appliance.
-
Granite slabs supplied with the Kit are 18mm thick,
other thicknesses are available. The slabs with the kit have only the top
face polished and are fully arrassed to remove sharp edges.
-
Colour is speckled black and white. You must specify
the maximum exterior footprint dimensions of width and depth and mass of
your appliance either in Imperial or Metric measurements when ordering
this kit.

Monopole®
Connector Brackets.
Where there are more than one set of Monopoles® on a loudspeaker
and there is only one pair of Audio cables connecting these to the amplifier
then Bocchino Audio supplies custom fabricated Monopole® Connector
Brackets. These have the FM2/3 profile cut into a piece of
High Conductivity Copper 1.2 mm thick x 32 mm wide and any length needed
to connect the respective number of Monopoles® on the loudspeaker.
The Bracket is first Silver plated and then Gold plated.

StraightTM
Speaker Cable
( Bocchino Audio Single Strips Straight
Speaker Cable )
-
Designed exclusively for use to connect Monopole® on the amplifier
with Monopole® on the speaker this cable is made from pure Copper
strip ( 99.9%+ pure Copper ) 0.7mm wide x 32mm high with a DC
resistance of less than 600 Micro-Ohms per meter. Two strips
make up each cable and these are separated by being located into a low
density foam block with a minimum separation distance of 30mm. Each strip
is electroplated firstly with anodic copper ( >7N ) followed by pure silver
for the entire surface area of the metal strip.
-
This completely eliminates the possibility of
the formation of Copper Oxide on the surface of the metal.
-
The strips are then wrapped initially in low density
fiber and then wrapped in a very low permeability insulator. This assembly
is further wrapped in low density fibber , low permeability insulator and
then shielded from RF. With a further insulative wrapping before the final
jacket is socketed over the cable assembly. The cable has the
Bocchino Audio FM3 Spade profile integral at both ends for easy connection
to your Monopoles®.
-
B.A.S.S. StraightTM
cable is 71 x 71 millimeters in cross-sectional dimension.
-
B.A.S.S. StraightTM
is delivered inserted into a plastic pipe so as to maintain its straight
shape. The 'fly-ends' are 350mm long and are flexible enough to be inserted
into the Monopole® interface.
-
B.A.S.S. StraightTM
will bend but over a longer radius than normal audio cable.
Not as flexible as coiled speaker wire but what a difference it makes!
Nominal bending radius is 600mm or 2 feet.
-
B.A.S.S. StraightTM
is available in 2.5 meter and 5 meter lengths. Other
lengths are available on special order.
-
Also available in Fine Silver ( 4N: 99.99% pure
Silver) and Fine Gold ( 99.99% Pure Gold )
-
B.A.S.S. StraightTMSilver
is not plated. Its appearance is its natural metal colour: Silver.

MonoMassTM
The MonoMassTM was designed
as a record weight. It straddles the centre spindle and rests on
the record label. Being 3 inches in diameter and 2 inches high it is available
in three metals and a series of different finishes. The standard is polished
and then lacquered brass. As the MonoMassessTM
are all the same dimensions the only way of increasing the mass of the
MonoMassTM is to utilize metals of
increasing densities.

are available in:

The MonoMassTM contributes to both
stabilizing and damping the record while it is being played. The MonoMassTM
is a better stabilizer than any clamp.
Sonic improvements include better image
focus, tauter bass and more realistic vocals.
Before utilizing a MonoMassTMit
is important to know whether your turntable bearing can cope with the increased
loading.
