Affordable? Monopoles
The original goal of the Monopole design was to make the absolute
best, cost no object, binding post both in materials and design.
This was achieved in the topshelf Monopoles® the: M13; M11 &
M14.
All now made from HCOFC
( High Conductivity Oxygen Free Copper 99.94% + Pure Copper ).
All Monopoles® being electroplated first with Pure Silver (
15.0+microns ) and then with hard Gold Plate ( 1.5+ microns )
Two new designs have evolved from these excellent binding posts and
they are:
The M16 and the M24.
M16 Monopole
The M16 is a discrete Monopole® following the same design paradigms
as the topshelf Monopoles® but of a smaller construction while still
being made from HCOFC and still electroplated in the same manner as the
topshelf Monopoles®.
Its design specification was to make a Monopole® as cheaply as possible without losing the benefits of the Copper metal and finishes used to make the topshelf Monopoles® the most excellent ( and definetly the best ) binding posts in the world today.
This design specification was to be able to machine the M16 Monopole® with as few machining steps as possible so as to reduce the factory manufacturing costs; and the prices reflect this, without compromising performance.
The M16 Monopole® has the same Teflon mounting flanges as the
topshelf Monopoles®; And two S/S locking nuts to secure it in place.
The topshelf Monopoles® have Pure Copper Locking Nuts;
As with the topshelf Monopoles®, the M16 Monopole® has the
same mounting hole diameter of 20mm, with a recommended spacing of 50mm
centers.
Internal appliance wire is secured into the M16 Monopole® using
2 S/S grub screws. The internal appliance wire is inserted into a 5mm diameter
x 25mm deep insertion hole.
This will accommodate some very large output wires.
The topshelf Monopoles® will accept wire diameters up to 9.0mm.
The M16 is begining to become somewhat popular.
There are currently 11 variations of the M16 of which Variation
7 is the standard and Variation
10 is the shorter.
The shank length of the M16 can be precisely made to fit any interface
up to 25mm without any price increase, and interfaces up to 300mm on special
order and pricing.
If a client wants the M16 to fit an interface thickness of 11mm
exactly, this is easily done. Otherwise, the standard shank length will
fit interfaces from 0mm all the way to 20mm with 2 locking nuts and 25mm
with one locking nut.
Please specify your preferred interface thickness when ordering.
